Most smart locks could be installed by DIY (do it yourself)
The chalenge is will any smart lock fit on any door.
Most older doors in some areas of Fremont, Newark and Union City are drilled with the center to center spacing to close to each other 
and not allowing the bottom knob or handleset enough space
for the smart lock to fit above.
Below is a sample photo of the measurements that should 
be followed before trying to install a smart lock 
​or any two locks on one door. Many new handlesets require
​as center to center space of 5-1/2" (please refer to "B" on photo)
